One of the Hendren mottos, as long as I can remember, was “do things right, or don’t do them at all.” As I’ve spent time considering that, I think it implies a singular solution that is rarely–perhaps never–the only way to get things done. So, with respect to the Hendrens before me, I’d like to make a slight correction: do things well, or don’t do them at all. This gives the proper weight and responsibility to craft, while leaving the door open to novel, creative solutions that solve the same problems.
